This recipe is one of my kids favorites. It is very easy to make and is a crowd pleaser for Halloween parties. Instead of making it for the kids this year it was shared with our neighbors, sorry kiddos.
Caramel Corn
5 microwave bags of popcorn (I prefer Pop Secret Buttered)
Cook the popcorn using the popcorn setting on your microwave.
Divide the popcorn evenly into 3 – 4 large bowls. Shake the bowls to allow all the unpopped kernels to make their way to the bottom of the bowls. Remove all unpopped kernels (this step cannot be skipped).
In a sauce pan add the following:
1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup Karo Syrup
Bring to soft ball stage (240 Fahrenheit on a candy thermometer)
Remove from heat and add 1 can sweetened condensed milk and stir well.
Pour over popcorn and mix well.
Enjoy!
